• HIV Testing and Counseling Services

Aurum partners with community-based organizations to provide these services: HIV and Testing (HTS) and Counselling Services (HCS), linkage to appropriate care and treatment and TB screening. HTS is delivered using mobile units in order to increase access from community to community. HIV Testing and Counselling is available for free for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW). It is recommended that AGYW retest every 6-12 months. Support groups and adherence clubs for HIV positive AGYW are available.
  • Post-Violence Care

A number of community mobilisation campaigns are conducted to raise awareness on Post Violence Care (PVC) services. The purpose of these campaigns is to provide participants with information on topics regarding PVC services such as abuse, treatment options and services offered at the Thuthuzela Care Centres.
  • Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

Aurum has partnered with the Department of Health’s facilities to promote the health and well-being of young people, ages 10-24. The adolescent and youth friendly services offered at the facilities aim to reduce the high rates of HIV transmission, tuberculosis, unintended and unsupported pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and substance abuse. The facilities (see map) offer youth friendly services to adolescents and young women in the City of Ekurhuleni.
